The river Voidomatis, which originates from the heart of the ravine of Vikos, is suitable for activities such as rafting and canoe-kayak in all seasons, but also swimming in the summer months, as its waters are crystal clear and icy. A little further north, Aoos is suitable for rafting with greater difficulty. The dirt roads and paths that cross the mountains and forests of the area are suitable for mountain-biking. Also, the area has climbing fields in the wider area, such as the one next to the Kokkori bridge. Above the village of Elati, on the slopes of Mitsikeli, overlooking the basin of Ioannina, there is the possibility of paragliding, a unique experience of panoramic views of the mountains of northern Pindos, Lake Pamvotina and the city of Ioannina.
